My process is a mix of digital and analogue techniques. The illustrations I created are collaged together, often taking textures made in print along with expressive mark making and adding or flattening out things digitally. My knowledge of colour comes from my understanding of how screen print and lithograph use it. I usually work with a limited colour palette and over lay colours to create new ones. This is something I enjoy and often spend a lot of time working out how colour can best dictate an image. Recurring themes in my illustration tend to focus on socially motivated experiences, with most of my work being an idea lead informing process to the finished image.

‘Staying Connected’ is a series of images taking a dry look on how social media has taken over our life. The series of images follows a technophobe as he navigates his daily routine. Each image highlights situations in which phones have slowly crept into.
