My work for this project was inspired by a trip to Delhi last Autumn. While I was there I visited a slum called Tigri where a local charity called Asha works on improving the lives of people residing there. It was this and the fact India is so visually exciting that led me to create ‘Where I Live’, a children’s fictional book, which follows the life of Panju a young boy who lives in a slum in Dehli. My aim for the book was to get young children to start to understand, and think about poverty and different cultures.
